No Cook Fig Balls
If you loved Fig Newtons as a kid, try this no-cook recipe for Fig Balls. A healthy treat.
15 figs, dried, uncooked
1/2 cup chopped Nuts, pecans
1/4 cup Oats
1/4 tsp Vanilla extract
1/4 tsp Cinnamon
1/8 tsp Nutmeg
1/4 tsp Ginger, ground
1 tbsp Honey or Agave Nectar
1 tbsp Molasses
2 tablespoon Wheat Germ\2 tablespoon flax seeds, ground
- Place all ingredients (except flax and wheat germ) in a blender or food processor. Blend well, scraping the sides of mixer at least once during blending.
- Roll into 1 inch balls.
- Roll in wheat germ or flax meal.
- Enjoy immediately or store for later in the refrigerator.
